We will be sailing west towards Colwell, Totland Bay or possibly Keyhaven/Hurst Castle, depending on the weather. We will be accompanied by patrol boats and any cruisers who would like to join us. We will have a picnic lunch at our destination and maybe a swim and start on the return journey at about 14.00 hours when the tide starts to flood. These excursions are always good fun and we stay together in a group so that no-one feels isolated. It’s a good way for anyone to experience sailing in the Solent for the first time. Anyone who would like to come along but does not have a boat is welcome to get in touch with Melinda (01983 760462, firstname.lastname@example.org) who will try to match them up with a sailor who would like a passenger.
Our new non-competitive sailing group, Simply Sailing, is organising a morning sail up the river on Thursday 21st September or, if weather bad, then on Friday 22nd September. The group will be kept up to date with arrangements by email or on Facebook.
A similar group from Hurst Castle SC/Keyhaven YC are planning a trip to the river Yar on the Thursday and, if they come, we will all eat our picnic lunches together at YSC.
You can find out more about the group by going to the Simply Sailing page on this website.
If you would like to join in, please contact Viv Collins (01983 754975, email@example.com).
