A week of competitive racing on the river and the Solent, a passage race, social events and fun races, Scows Week has been running for over 40 years without a break. This training week, from 30th July to 3rd August, is open to children who are either beginners or who hold Stages 1 or 2 certificates. More details are available from Ronni Usborne (email@example.com).
This training will run from 13th to 17th August and is for children who already hold Stage 3 certificates. They will be working towards Stage 4 which covers double handed sailing. More details from Ronni Usborne (firstname.lastname@example.org).
This is the culmination of Carnival Week in Yarmouth. YSC will be entering a float this year so do come and support us.
We have a Quiet Sail in the morning on Friday 24th August. There will be a briefing at 09.30 and sailing from 10.00 to 11.30. There will be patrol boats on the water and some instructors will be around to help anyone who is in difficulty.
In the evening there will be a barbecue from 18.30. The bar will be open.
Menu: Beef Burger, OR Marinated Chicken Breast OR Jumbo Sausage served in a bread bap, with tomatoes and lettuce .
Cost: £2.50 per head.

Our annual Regatta will take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August in the river. It is an open event which means that we welcome all sailors, club members and non-members alike.
Over the two days we run a four-race series for all types of dinghy. Come and join us on our beautiful river estuary.
Cost of entry: £2.50 per day per boat. Club boats can be hired by members for half the normal price. Our sponsors, Spence Willard Estate Agency, will be providing a goody bag for each junior entrant.

This course will run on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September and is open to all club members who already have some experience of sailing. We still have spaces on this course. Times: 0900 – 1700
Cost: £45 (YSC members), £65 (non-members). This includes a First Aid manual.
The course is valid for 3 years and satisfies the First Aid requirement for canoeists, canal boaters, dinghy sailors, windsurfers, powerboat and safety boat drivers and those who go up to 60 miles offshore in yachts and motor cruisers.
